History of Union Bank & Trust Company
The current day Union Bank & Trust Company was founded in 1917 as the Farmer's State Bank. In 1935, the name was changed to Union Bank, and in 1959 to Union Bank & Trust Company. In 1965, it was purchased by a Nebraska family, the Dunlaps. Today, over fifty years later, the Dunlaps still own and manage the bank, serving Nebraskans across the state. Union Bank & Trust Company's Community Involvement Union Bank & Trust Company has a rich history of community involvement, extending far beyond Lincoln Midget Football. They have established an annual share of earnings for contributions back into the community in the areas of education, the arts, and community betterment.
